Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to join our team.
As a General Contractor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of various construction trades.
Duties:
- Estimate, plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from conception to completion
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction projects
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Hire and supervise construction workers and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Provide accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Proficient in the use of power tools and equipment related to various construction trades
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, including materials, labor, and equipment costs
- Expertise in at least one or more specific trades such as flooring installation, welding, remodeling, tile laying, plastering, etc.
- Familiarity with construction inspection processes and quality control standards
- Ability to operate heavy equipment as needed for specific projects
Requirements:
-10+ years of Construction or Related Experience
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
